Computer Environment at the Contest is shown as follows.

Hardware

Keyboard Rule (Special Rule at Hakodate Site)

Two kinds of keyboards are available:

1) JIS 109 Keyboard. It is a standard keyboard usually bundled with personal computers sold in Japan. Positions of some non-alphabetical characters(':' , '@' , '+' , '=' , etc.) are different from standard US keyboards. space bar is shorter than US keyboards.

2) PFU' s Happy Hacking Keyboard. Positions of all character keys are same as the standard US keyboard. But it doesn't have "Windows key" and numerical keys. Its control key resides between the TAB and the left Shift and there is no Caps Lock key. Cursor and function keys are available when you press the 'Fn' key. Details can be found in:

The default is JIS 109 keyboard. If you plan to use a Happy Hacking Keyboard, please notify us with an e-mail to icpc@fun.ac.jp. Due to the limited number of Happy Hacking Keyboards (currently, 20 sets), it will be provided on a 'first-come-first-served' basis.

If you would like to use another type of keyboard, you can bring one to the contest site and connect it to our PC, AT YOUR OWN RISK. the interface is PS/2. The keyboard must not have special alteration. If you cannot connect it successfully, you should select one of the above keyboards. If, unfortunately, you crash our PC's hardware and/or softwares, you will be disqualified.
