
Students and faculty of this university,November 19, 2024 November 19, 2024 We participated in a Craft-Shop organized by the "Hokkaido Drone Implementation Promotion Project Consortium," held in Fukushima Town, Hokkaido, for local high school and elementary school students.
Students from the research laboratories of Associate Professor Toshihiro Nishizawa (Department of Complex and Intelligent Systems) and Associate Professor Junichi Osada (Department of Media Architecture) lectured second-year students at Hokkaido Fukushima Commercial High School on drone aerial photography techniques and video editing of captured data, and held an experiential Craft-Shop where the high school students themselves performed aerial photography and editing.
A Craft-Shop was held for 5th and 6th graders from Fukushima Elementary School and 5th graders from Yoshioka Elementary School in Fukushima Town to experience drone soccer. The Craft-Shop provided an opportunity for interaction through drones, including matches between the elementary school students.
The "Hokkaido Drone Implementation Promotion Project Consortium" was formed with NTT Ad Corporation and NTT e-Drone Technology Corporation as managing companies, with the aim of solving regional issues through the social implementation of drones, which Hokkaido is striving for.
