From July 7th (Sat) to 8th (Sun), the SPAJAM2018 finals were held at COLONY Hakone (Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture), and "Dokonanosasuseso," developed by a mixed team of students and graduates of Future University Hakodate, received a Special Jury Prize.
The final round was themed "Mobility," and a 24-hour hackathon was held where teams developed apps. From the 12 teams that advanced from each region, a special judges' award was given, along with fantastic prizes. (A total of four teams received awards, including the Grand Prize and Excellence Awards.)
"SPAJAM" is Japan's premier app creator competition, organized by the Smartphone App Jam 2018 Executive Committee and the Mobile Content Forum. Held annually, it serves as a platform for competition (hackathon format) and networking to nurture the next generation of creators who will drive innovation in the mobile content industry. In the final round, the SPAJAM 2018 Judging Committee (Chairman: Takashi Murakami, LinkedIn Japan Representative) conducted a rigorous judging process, announcing the Grand Prize, Excellence Awards, and Special Jury Prize winners, who were awarded generous prizes.
