Second-year master's student, Soei Kojima, receives recognition for his presentation at a special session at EC2025

Research

A paper written by Hayato Kojima, a first-year doctoral student (Information Architecture field, supervised by Professor Kumiyo Nakakoji), and others, has been published. August 25, 2025 We were awarded the Special Session Presentation Certification at the "Information Processing Society of Japan Entertainment Computing Symposium 2025 (EC2025)" held in Tokyo on the 27th.

Ms. Kojima's master's research aims to create a new lyric experience that uses MR (Mixed Reality) technology to display lyrics synchronized with music in a three-dimensional space, allowing users to enjoy them through physical interaction. She is building a LyricBathe environment that allows users to experience various lyric display patterns, including the size of the characters, the display time, and the behavior of the characters.
The award-winning paper reports on some of these findings and was co-authored with researchers from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

The paper was highly praised for its detailed evaluation of a coding method that uses eye-tracking data to classify and analyze gaze points, with the aim of analyzing the user's lyric experience in LyricBathe. This led to its selection as a featured presentation in this session. The awarded paper is as follows:
