Tomohisa Ido, a first-year doctoral student (first stage) in the Information Architecture field, supervised by Associate Professor Shigemi ISHIDA, February 20, 2026 ~The asynchronous online event held on the 27th 2025 I received the Outstanding Presentation Award at the "IEICE Hokkaido Chapter Student Association Internet Symposium."

This research by Mr. Ido concerns a method for solving the problem of communication congestion that occurs when the number of tags increases during area-based NFC communication. While collision detection and avoidance mechanisms are used when handling a large number of tags in NFC communication, they do not take into account situations where there are many tags. In contrast, this research presents a method for significantly improving communication speed in environments with many tags.
This research was partially supported by JST CRONOS (JPMJCS25N4).

Presentation Title: Modeling a Multiplexing Method Using Packet Location Modulation in NFC
