Students from our university won two Interactive Presentation Awards (PC recommendation and public vote) at Interaction 2026.

Research

Tomoya Itagaki, a first-year doctoral student (Information Architecture field, supervised by Professor Koji Tsukada), March 3, 2026 At the Information Processing Society of Japan's symposium "Interaction 2026," held on the 5th at the Academic Research Center (Tokyo), we received the Interactive Presentation Award (PC Recommendation) and the Interactive Presentation Award (Public Vote).

Itagaki's research proposes "SorTale," a method for supporting algorithmic learning through narratives using small swarm robots.

This symposium is the largest in Japan in the field of human-computer interaction, with over 700 participants each year.
In this year's Interactive Presentation Awards (PC Recommendation), 45 presentations were selected as premium presentations from among 250 interactive presentations, based on their papers. After on-site review and discussion by the PC committee, 11 awards were ultimately decided. Furthermore, 8 presentations were also selected for the Interactive Presentation Awards (Public Vote) based on votes from participants, resulting in a double award.
