Masahiro Nakamura, a first-year doctoral student (Master's program) in the field of Complex Systems Information Science, supervised by Associate Professor Tomoki Kurikawa,February 27, 2026 February 27, 2026 I received the Best Student Poster Award at BFBC2026 (The 14th RIEC International Symposium on Brain Functions and Brain Computer), which was held in Miyagi Prefecture on the 28th.
Ms. Nakamura conducts research on the mechanisms of learning using computer models that mimic the neural circuits of the brain. In this study, she clarified how the size of the neural circuit affects how internal information is processed in response to changes in conditions that occur during learning, through a variety of tasks.
The Best Student Poster Award is given to students who give particularly outstanding poster presentations.
Presentation Title: Size of recurrent neural network changes learning strategies
