ExpertiseWe are seeking researchers for the research project "Construction of a Theoretical Framework for Quantum Nonlinear Science for Elucidating, Predicting, and Controlling Quantum Dynamics" (Principal Investigator: Yuzuru Kato) within the JST PRESTO research area "Exploring New Sciences Utilizing Mathematics to Predict and Control the Future." These researchers can conduct theoretical and numerical computational research in one of the following areas: open quantum systems, quantum information processing/quantum machine learning, nonlinear dynamics, operator-theoretic methods, or systems control engineering. While experience in one of the following areas is desirable, we do not require research experience in a specific field; we are seeking individuals who can conduct research with a free and open mind.
(1) Analysis of open quantum systems, quantum information processing, and quantum machine learning
(2) Analysis of nonlinear dynamics and operator-theoretic methods
(3) Analysis related to system control engineering
TermTerm-based, renewable annually depending on performance (maximum) March 31, 2028
Qualifications- Candidates must hold a doctoral degree (including those expected to obtain one by the time of appointment).
• Individuals with a proven track record in the relevant field of expertise.
Arrival date October 1, 2026 As soon as possible thereafter (negotiable)

    (4) Summary of past research and future research plans (A4, no more than 2 pages)
    (5) Names, affiliations, and contact information (address, telephone number, email) of two persons who can be contacted.
