Future University Hakodate Satellite Lab
The Hakodate International Fisheries and Marine Research Center was established as a base for producing world-leading research results and innovative technologies through collaboration between industry, academia, and government in the field of marine science. In addition to residential laboratories and practice rooms, the center is fully equipped for conducting experiments and analyses necessary for research and development, and is used by academic testing and research institutions and private companies.
This center houses Future University's satellite lab, a research environment equipped for the fisheries/ocean and bioscience fields, where research is conducted on marine life and slime molds, as well as "Marine IT," one of Future University's key research areas. The satellite lab is utilized as a practical research space, typical of Future University, where needs are identified in the field and problems are solved in collaboration with other institutions.
