Research Projects
To realize a smart society, we are conducting research on IoT sensor systems that sense the real world. We are developing applications based on human behavior recognition using sensing methods such as wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), as well as sensing through voice signal processing.
The appeal of research
The appeal of IoT sensing research lies in creating technologies that support society from behind the scenes. IoT sensing technology underpins AI and big data. Since knowledge ranging from hardware to data analysis is essential for working with IoT, acquiring a broad range of knowledge is also a major attraction.
Achievements
We encourage our students to actively participate in academic conferences and competitions, and both they and their supervised students have received numerous awards. Let's continue to create and promote our research, development, and other "manufacturing" activities to the world.

Research Contents
To realize a smarter community, we are mainly working on IoT sensing systems. Sensing technologies relying on Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and acoustic signal processing have been developed. With these sensing technologies, we are also working on a human activity recognition system as well as its applications.
Attractive Factors of My Research
IoT sensing technologies are nameless heroes. These days, AI and big data analysis technologies are hot topics, which are mainly relying on data derived using IoT sensing technologies. IoT requires broad technologies from hardware to data analysis. IoT sensing technologies are also attractive in learning broad topics.
