Job introductions
I conduct research in two areas: one that combines medicine and information technology, and another that relates to virtual spaces.
- In the medical field, technologies are researched globally, and new treatments are constantly being developed. However, mastering these treatments is becoming increasingly difficult. Therefore, we are researching tools that utilize information technology to facilitate skill transfer and patient communication.
- The construction of virtual spaces is currently being carried out in various fields, such as virtual museums and the recreation of historical sites. Such virtual spaces require a high degree of realism. Therefore, we are constructing realistic virtual spaces using real images. Furthermore, by adding various information to these virtual spaces, they can be used as interfaces to provide information to users. We are also conducting research on long-term storage of images from cameras and extracting necessary information from this vast amount of data.
