Using neural network models and data assimilation models of neuronal activity, we aim to elucidate the relationship between the behavior and function of the macroscopic nervous system.
The appeal of research
How does complex and seemingly disjointed neural activity give rise to advanced cognitive functions? Perhaps the appeal lies in the fact that we can approach this question, whose very definition is unclear, using models, mathematical sciences, data analysis, and anything else we can think of.

Research Contents
I am interested in understanding the role of the neural activity in congnitive functions by using the artificial neural networks and data-driven models.
Attractive Factors of My Research
How does the incredibly complex activity in the neural system perform the cognitive functions ? This is not well-defined question and, then, attracts us.
