Job introductions
Our research characterizes learning, control, and computation processes from the perspective of nonlinear and chaotic dynamical systems. We pay particular attention to the dynamic and complex behaviors that commonly emerge when model systems, each possessing learning, control, and computational capabilities, are given 'difficult' tasks. We have shown that these behaviors are well characterized by newly introduced uncertainty, such as unreachability, and strong non-hyperbolic properties. In the future, we are also interested in connecting these results to the understanding of real-world systems (such as the brain, living organisms, and social phenomena) that are thought to be performing 'information processing'.
