Research Contents

He is interested in Image Media Processing, Medical Informatics, Field Informatics, Medical Engineering, e-Healthcare and Life-log. These fields are called Medical ICT. He developed a Tele-Radiology System and Tele-Pathology System. He is also interested in Medical Informatics and Healthcare using mobile appliances such as smart-phones. He is also studying Medical Engineering with related researchers.

Attractive Factors of My Research

Medical ICT research is an important field of Japan. Research target of this field is a patient, medical doctor, co-worker and healthy-people. Our medical information and personal records in a hospital is very sensitive information. So, we have to pay attention to enough. We have to be and sincere when we start to study Medical ICT. If some techniques we developed are used in practical, it is our grate pleasure.

Achievements

We developed a Personal Multimedia Communication Terminal with a video-phone function, document sharing function multi-point tele-communication function in the era of 1990.

We designed and produced an EHR (Electric Health Record) System with national government officers, medical informatics engineers and local government officers in the National Project in the era of 2000.

We also managed medical ICT fields of NTT group before joining the FUN.

Message to Students

I think Medical ICT is very important field in an aged society in Japan and this would be your life-work job. It is important to communicate and discuss with medical ICT researchers, medical engineers, medical doctors and patients in order to realize your life-work jobs. You will have such a chance when you become a graduate student. You will be able to make sure your future career.
