About what happens after graduation

Please tell me about your career path after graduation and your current job.

As the head of software engineering, I am responsible for formulating policies and the entire development process.

I work as a software engineer and development manager at a telecommunications infrastructure company that handles mobile infrastructure projects, primarily under the "au" brand. My responsibilities include formulating development policies and managing the entire development process (design, implementation, and testing). When carrying out my work, I ensure that the entire team understands the needs of stakeholders and the development policies that are appropriate for the project's characteristics. I also make sure to build a solid foundation through initial considerations and the design/implementation of highly complex features to ensure smooth development progress.

Since joining the company, I've been involved in a wide range of projects, including a development project for a system that secures users' communication means by quickly lending out the company's communication infrastructure during disasters, a project to develop part of the core network equipment supporting 5G communication in-house, and a project to develop fixed communication services using next-generation routers.

What was your experience like studying at Future University?

The tenacity to face failure and setbacks, and the challenging mindset, are at the heart of who I am.

My research activities at Future University, where I set my own themes, devised approaches to solving them from scratch, and went through a process of trial and error, were invaluable experiences for honing my own skills. I repeatedly felt my lack of passion and limitations, and each time I experienced failure and setbacks, the precise advice and encouragement from my professors gave me the strength to move forward. The perseverance to face difficulties and the mindset to challenge myself without fear of failure are fundamental to who I am today.

Furthermore, the proactive attitude I naturally developed—the ability to think and act independently—is a great asset. The thought process of gathering necessary information on my own, continuing to experiment, and deriving the optimal solution, along with the practical skills to drive that process, have become invaluable strengths in all my work. If you want to succeed in the information technology field, where competence is paramount, I recommend expanding your potential in the unique environment of Future University.
