Belongs: Graduate School of Systems Information Science, Advanced ICT Area
Graduation year:2019 (Advanced ICT Course, 4th graduating class)
Employer:Hitachi, Ltd.
I decided to enroll in the Advanced ICT Course after participating in an advanced ICT Craft-Shop during my second year of undergraduate studies.
In the Advanced ICT Exercises, you can gain practical experience by experiencing various management and technical aspects of system development. However, what I think is best about these exercises is that you can "gain experience in failure while you're still young." While you have opportunities to learn about system development processes and management in university lectures, "knowing" and "being able to do it" are different things, and you often can't apply what you've learned to actual development. I myself have had the bitter experience of failing at project management and stalling development. However, there is always great learning to be gained from failure, and the analysis of the cause, the lessons learned from the failure, and the efforts to solve the problem are invaluable experiences that will lead to future development. When you graduate from university and become a working adult, I believe that having accumulated these experiences will be a great advantage.
If you're looking to gain diverse development experience, try participating in our Advanced ICT Workshop. And if you want to learn more about system development, consider enrolling in the Advanced ICT Course. As a senior student, I would be incredibly happy if you could use the Advanced ICT Workshop and the Advanced ICT Course to achieve your goals.
