Future University Hakodate

ICT practical exercises often continue for several years, allowing us to develop and release services to a operational level. This is a very valuable opportunity that cannot be obtained through regular lectures. Through these activities, I gained a wide range of experience, including system development and proposal activities to the city of Hakodate.
What I learned most importantly was the importance of thoroughly exploring "why this feature needs to be created." If we don't discuss what features are necessary to fulfill the "goals" of the service, and how those features will benefit whom, the service will simply end up being created for self-satisfaction. Through the exercises, I learned that in order to increase the value of a service, we must constantly think about the value we provide to the user. I believe this way of thinking is very important when working as an engineer in the real world.
The lessons I've listed here are just a few examples; in reality, there are many more things to learn and discover. I encourage you all to participate in the Advanced ICT Exercises and challenge yourselves with various activities. You may fail at times, but those experiences will surely come back to you as lessons and insights. That will lead to your own growth.
