Future University Hakodate

I enrolled at Future University because I wanted to study information science and I was attracted to the university's unique initiatives. These include the "Connections Cafe," where you can have English conversations with native English speakers, the "Meta-Learning Lab," which supports the learning process, and the "Advanced ICT Exercises."
I participated in the Advanced ICT Workshop for six years, from immediately after entering university until completing Graduate School. At first, I didn't understand what development was, and there were frustrating times, but a major turning point came in my third year when I entered the Advanced ICT Course and encountered "agile development." As I practiced agile development in a team, my desire to "create something solid" grew stronger, and I worked on developing software that could deepen connections among Future University students even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. In Graduate School, I focused on balancing development with mentoring younger students, and by collaborating with other upperclassmen on various learning activities, I feel I was able to learn how to participate in community activities. To be honest, I didn't always achieve the results I had hoped for, but what I learned here has been extremely useful in my current work as a software engineer.
The Advanced ICT Course is demanding with its many tasks, but it also offers a wealth of practical knowledge applicable to society. For those who want to contribute value to society and help it evolve, we highly recommend participating in the Advanced ICT exercises and engaging in the activities of the course.
