In the Advanced ICT Course, I learned the importance of considering diverse perspectives. In system development, I believe that taking the end-user's perspective is paramount. However, that alone is insufficient. Customers, superiors, seniors, juniors, and others have different positions and therefore different opinions. To build consensus among such stakeholders and create a better system, it is important to consider things from diverse perspectives.
My workplace is in the so-called web industry, which is quite different in terms of work methods and ways of thinking from the SI industry, where I have many opportunities to interact with Future University students, including those in the Advanced ICT Course. However, I believe that the lessons I've mentioned here are important in any industry.
I strongly encourage you to participate in the Advanced ICT Course, broaden your horizons by being exposed to diverse values, and then use that broadened perspective to choose your future career. Ultimately, I would be delighted if, together with as many Advanced ICT Course graduates as possible, we could contribute to the growth of the web industry.
