Research Area

My research draws on applied linguistics, social psychology, education, media and communication studies, and human–technology interaction to examine how human behaviour, learning, decision-making, and identity are shaped, evaluated, and transformed within increasingly digital and technology-mediated environments. I am particularly interested in how systems such as educational environments, digital platforms, and technologies structure the possibilities and constraints for human action, and in how people interpret information, regulate their behaviour, and assign meaning and value to their own actions and those of others. Methodologically, I combine quantitative modelling and data analysis with qualitative, interpretive, and discourse-analytic approaches to develop a multidimensional understanding of the relationship between human behaviour and the social and technological systems within which it occurs.
