複雑系知能学科
複雑な世界を読み解き、未来の知能を創る。
複雑系知能学科は、自然・生命・社会・認知といった複雑なシステムの仕組みを理解し、それを数理・情報技術と結びつけて新しい知的システムを生み出す学科です。対象となる現象は、次のとおり多岐にわたり、これらを「システム」として捉えてパターンや構造、振る舞いを科学的に探究します。

複雑系科学は、数理科学と計算機科学を統合し、非線形性、適応、進化、相互作用、創発といった「複雑さ」を扱う学問です。本学はこの分野を日本でいち早く学部教育に導入した大学でもあります。「知能」の研究では、人工知能のみならず、認知科学、脳科学、心理学、発達科学、行動科学、生物学、人工生命、言語科学、認知ロボティクスなど、人間や生物の知的能力の背後にある仕組みを理解する科学的・哲学的探究にまで広がります。
そのため、複雑系知能学科では次のような広い学問領域を探究します。
- 数理モデル・複雑系科学
- AI・機械学習・深層学習
- データサイエンス
- 認知科学・脳科学・心理学・発達研究
- 生物・生命システム・人工生命
- 群れ・相互作用・創発のシミュレーション
- マルチエージェントモデル・社会システムの分析
- 知能ロボット・知的エージェント・認知ロボティクス
これらを通して学生は、複雑な現象を解析し、予測し、モデル化し、デザインし、知的システムとして実現する力を身につけます。
複雑系知能学科は、自然科学・認知科学・数理科学・人工知能を横断しながら、複雑な世界の理解と、未来社会を支える知的システムの創造に挑む学科です。
