Media Architecture Field
Research in this field aims at the actualization of information systems that focus primarily on the “human element” rather than on just sending and receiving information. Students can learn how to skillfully develop information systems, and how to pursue effective processes to ensure performance and safety.
Advanced ICT Field
Here, we offer an educational system that can draw out the potential in each student through establishing a strong bond of cooperation between the University and industries. This course is very beneficial for students, as they can truly appreciate the potential of ICT. They can experience the process by which problems in society are analyzed, and then connected to information technology.
Media Design Field
The challenge in this field is the construction of new relationships between artificial media and humans, and the issues involved in making man-made designs that fit human behavior. By connecting a wide range of disparate fields of study, such as research on technology for human-computer conversation, students can develop a broad understanding of the expressive potential of all kinds of media.
Complex Information Science Field
This field challenges students to develop innovative information processing engineering techniques to predict and control interconnected large-scale systems, based on the study of information science and mathematical science. Cross-departmental joint research is strongly encouraged.
Intellectual Information Science Field
In this field, students can learn how to realize human-like intelligences using robots or computers. Students create models based on knowledge gained from interdisciplinary thinking, and especially from the study and understanding of human intelligence.
