Measures Against COVID-19《For Students》

  1. If you have symptoms that make you suspect COVID-19
  2. If you are diagnosed with COVID-19
  3. If you have been identified as a close contact of a person infected with COVID-19
  4. If a family member or other person living with you is identified as a close contact with a person infected with COVID-19
  5. When instructed by a public health center to take a PCR test as a person who has had a contact with an infected person for a certain period of time
  6. If someone close to you who you lately have come in contact with gets a PCR test
  7. If a person close to you who you lately have come in contact with is identified by a public health center as a close contact of a person infected with COVID-19
  8. If someone close to you who you lately have come in contact with is diagnosed with COVID-19
  9. When a notification indicating contact detection is received from the “COVID-19 Contact-Confirming Application(COCOA)”, etc.

In the case of the above, please take the following actions.

1. If you have symptoms that make you suspect COVID-19

(1)Beginning of Symptoms
 ① If you have symptoms such as a fever or the first symptoms of a cold, please stay home and
   rest.
 ② If you have a class that you have to attend, please notify the faculty in charge of the class as
   soon as possible of your absence. Please do not force yourself to come to school, especially for
   face-to-face classes. If you call in sick before class (or right after the class), it will not affect your
   grade (including the case without a medical certificate from a doctor).

 ③ If you notice anything unusual about your health on campus, please return home as soon as
   possible. When you are in the middle of a class, please inform the faculty of your name and
   student ID number, and return home as soon as possible.
 ④ If at least one of the following cases applies to you, immediately contact the consulting service
   below and follow the instructions.
   ☆ If you have any of the following severe symptoms: breathlessness (dyspnea), severe
     lethargy (malaise), or high fever.
   ☆ If you are prone to severe illness (*) and have relatively mild symptoms of a cold, such as
     fever and cough.
    (※)People with underlying diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, respiratory diseases
       (e.g. COPD), etc., and people on dialysis, and people using immunosuppressive drugs or
       anticancer drugs.
   ☆ People other than those listed above who have persistent symptoms of a relatively mild
     cold, such as fever and cough.

(2)After Recovering of Symptoms
You are allowed to come to the school after at least three days of no longer having subjective symptoms while not taking the medication.
However, if you have infectious disease such as influenza or other infectious disease, you must wait until your doctor certifies that you can attend school.

2. If you are diagnosed with COVID-19

(1)Onset of Symptoms (Attendance Suspension)
 ① You will not be allowed to come to school until a doctor certifies your attendance.
 ② Also in the case the diagnosis is not confirmed clearly and a follow-up observation is requested,
   you will be prohibited from attending school.
 ③ Please follow the instructions of medical institutions and concentrate on your treatment.
 ④ Please contact the student affairs section as soon as possible if you are diagnosed with COVID-
   19 if possible.
   “Report of Outbreak Situation”(Form No.1)
   The contents of the Form No. 1 will be asked.

 ⑤ Classes missed due to prohibition of attending school (attendance suspension) will be treated
   without disadvantage for your grade.
 ⑥ If possible, report your situation after testing positive and continue to follow your doctor’s 
   instructions.

(2)When Healed
 ① Follow your doctor’s instructions, such as staying home.
 ② Please report on your situation to the administration bureau office.
 ③ You must wait until your doctor certifies that you are ready to attend school.

3. If you have been identified as a close contact of a person infected with COVID-
  19 by the public health center

(1)Staying Home(Prohibition of Attending School)
 ① Students will be prohibited from attending school for 2 weeks from the date of the last close
   contact with an infected person.
 ② Follow the instructions of the public health center, such as staying at home.
 ③ If you are identified as a close contact, please contact the student affairs section immediately.
   “Report of Close Contact with Infected Person” (Form No.2)
   The contents of the Form No. 2 will be asked.

 ④ Classes missed due to prohibition of attending school (attendance suspension) will be treated
   without disadvantage for your grade.

(2)Subsequent Actions
 ① If you test positive, please follow the pattern described in “2 If you are diagnosed with COVID-
   19”.
 ② Please contact the student affairs section if you test negative with no symptoms of poor health
   and have completed the 2-week health observation of the public health center, so you may a
   ttend school.

   If you have symptoms of illness within the two-week health observation period of the public
   health center, follow the pattern described in “1 If you have symptoms that make you suspect
   COVID-19”.

4.  If a family member or other person living with you is identified as a close
  contact

(1)Staying Home(Prohibition of Attending School)
 ① If a family member or other person living with you is identified as a close contact by the public
   health center, you will be prohibited from attending school, regardless of the results of the PCR
   test of the them. (As a rule, a PCR test is performed on a close contact.)
 ② Confirm what you should do with the public health center that identified a family member or
   other person living with you as a close contact, and report the results to the student affairs
   section by phone or e-mail.

 ③ Classes missed due to prohibition of attending school (attendance suspension) will be treated
   without disadvantage for your grade.

(2)After Finding Out the Test Results of Family Members, etc.
  Please call the student affairs section for the results as soon as possible.

 ① If a family member etc. tests positive, there is a high possibility that you will be identified as a
   close contact by the public health center, so please confirm with the public health center what
   action you should take and report the results by phone or e-mail to the student affairs section.

   If you are identified as a close contact, please follow the instructions in ” 3. If you have been
   identified as a close contact of a person infected with COVID-19”.

 ② If the test result of a family member etc. is “negative”
   ・ Even if a family member tests “negative”, you must stay home (attendance suspension) until
     the completion of the two-week health observation of the family member etc. which is
     conducted by the public health center. After the completion of the health observation,
     please contact the student affairs section.
   ・ If you experience symptoms of illness during the two-week, follow the pattern described
     in”1 If you have symptoms that make you suspect COVID-19”.

5.  When instructed by a public health center to take a PCR test as a person who
  has had a contact with an infected person for a certain period of time

(1)Staying Home (attendance Suspension)
 ① You will not be allowed to attend school until you test negative.
 ② If you are instructed to take the PCR test by a public health center, etc., please call the student
   affairs section as soon as possible. You will be asked about your school attendance, activities,
   and contacts.

   ※ We will contact the students who are mentioned as persons you came in contact with and
     instruct them. (When you are contacted and instructed, please refer to 6 below.)

 ③ If you miss a class due to an attendance suspension, the information will be shared with the
   faculty in charge of the class and will be handled so that the grade will not be disadvantaged.

(2)After Finding Out the Test Results
  Please call the student affairs section for the results as soon as possible.

 ① If the test result is “positive”, follow the pattern described in “2 If you are diagnosed with COVID-
   19″.
 ② If the test result is “negative”
   ・ If you have been identified as a close contact, follow the pattern described in “3 When a
     public health center identifies you as a close contact of a person infected with COVID-19″.
   ・ If you were not a close contacts (were other contacts), you may come to school the following
     day. However, if you feel ill, such as a fever or early symptoms of a cold, stay home to rest
     and follow the pattern described in “1 If you have symptoms that make you suspect COVID-
     19”.

6. If someone close to you who you lately have come in contact with gets a PCR
  test

※ Coming in contact:
 ・Contacting within 1 meter for about 15 minutes without infection prevention (mask), 
  living together or being in the same room for a long time while eating or
  drinking. 
 ・Contacting in class, at part-time jobs, with friends, etc.
 ※ PCR test:
  For cases in which testing is instructed by a public health center or doctor’s consultation

(1)Staying Home (Attendance Suspension)
 ① You are not allowed to come to school until the person who you have come in contact with tests
   negative.
 ② In case  you are going to miss a class because of attendance suspension, please contact the
   student affairs section as soon as possible.

   ※ In the case of the person who takes the PCR test is a FUN student, we will contact the
     students mentioned as persons he/she came in contact with and instruct them.

 ③ If you miss a class due to an attendance suspension, the information will be shared with the
   faculty in charge of the class and will be handled so that the grade will not be disadvantaged.

(2)After Finding Out the Test Results of the Person who you have come in contact with.
 ① If the test result is “positive”
   ・ You are still required to stay home (attendance suspension).
   ・ If you are also instructed by a public health center to take the PCR test, please follow the
     pattern described in “3 When you are identified by a public health center as a person in
     close contact with a person infected with COVID-19″ or “5 When you are instructed by a
     public health center to take the PCR test.
   ・ If it is decided that you do not need to take the PCR test, you may come to school the
     following day. However, if you feel ill, such as a fever or early symptoms of a cold, stay
     home to rest and follow the pattern described in “1 If you have symptoms that make you
     suspect COVID-19”.
 ② If the test result is “negative”
    You may come to school the following day. However, if you feel ill, such as a fever or early
    symptoms of a cold, stay home to rest and follow the pattern described in “1 In case of
    symptoms suggestive of COVID-19”.

7. If a person close to you who you lately have come in contact with is identified
  by a public health center as a close contact of a person infected with COVID-19.

※ Coming in contact:
 ・Contacting within 1 meter for about 15 minutes without infection prevention (mask), 
  living together or being in the same room for a long time while eating or
  drinking. 
 ・Contacting in class, at part-time jobs, with friends, etc.
 ※ PCR test:
  For cases in which testing is instructed by a public health center or doctor’s consultation

  Please follow the pattern described in (1) of “4 If a family member or other person living with you
  is identified as a close contact with a person infected with COVID-19.

8. If someone close to you who you lately have come in contact with is diagnosed
  with COVID-19

※ Coming in contact:
 ・Contacting within 1 meter for about 15 minutes without infection prevention (mask), 
  living together or being in the same room for a long time while eating or
  drinking. 
 ・Contacting in class, at part-time jobs, with friends, etc.
 ※ PCR test:
  For cases in which testing is instructed by a public health center or doctor’s consultation

  Please follow the pattern described in (1) of “4If a family member or other person living with you   is identified as a close contact with a person infected with COVID-19.

9.  When a notification indicating contact detection is received from the “COVID-
  19 Contact-Confirming Application (COCOA)”, etc. (This includes various
  notification systems and apps created by local governments, etc.)

<COCOA is recommended to be installed.>
This App allows you to receive notifications about possible contact with an infected person. By using this service, you can find out if you may have been in contact with an infected person and get support from the public health center, such as getting tested, as soon as possible. It is also expected that the increase in the number of users will help prevent the spread of infection.

(1)Staying Home (Attendance Suspension)
 ① If you receive a notification, be sure to consult with the place (public health center, etc.) provided
   by COCOA, regardless of your own symptoms or whether or not there is anyone around you
   who is infected or has symptoms. You will be prohibited from attending school until you receive
   an instruction by the public health center.
 ② After consulting with the public health center, etc., please contact the student affairs section as
   soon as possible. You will be asked about your school attendance, activities, and contacts.

 ③ If you miss a class due to an attendance suspension, the information will be shared with the
   faculty in charge of the class and will be handled so that the grade will not be disadvantaged.

(2)After Receiving Instructions from the Health Center, etc.
 ① If the public health center confirms that you do not need to take the PCR test, you may come to
   school the following day. However, if you feel ill, such as a fever or early symptoms of a cold,
   stay home to rest and follow the pattern described in “1 If you have symptoms that make you
   suspect COVID-19”.
 ② If you are instructed to take the PCR test, please follow the pattern described in “5 When
   instructed by the public health center to take the PCR test”. (You are still required to stay home
   (attendance suspension).

10.  Other

 Please contact the security guard room on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and weekday
 evenings (5:30 p.m. to 8:45 a.m. the next day) since the administration bureau office is not open.
