2017年10月4日から6日にかけて、未来大学の2名の学部生、佐々木智広さん（学部4年）と曲木拓朗さん（学部4年）が、マイケル・ヴァランス教授とともに、オーストリアのグラーツで開催された「European Conference on Game-based Learning 2017（ヨーロッパ・ゲーム学習カンファレンス）」に参加しました。

本会はヨーロッパにおいて権威ある学会で、「ゲーム開発」のコンペティションには68のゲームが提出され、そのうち16が決勝に残りました。コンペティションには世界中の学部生や大学院生、また教育ゲームを開発する企業が参加、未来大の学生は「History Explorer（歴史探検家）」という教育ゲームのデモンストレーションを行い、第3位となりました。

「History Explorer」には日本語バージョンと英語バージョンがあり、日本語バージョンはプロジェクト学習「ゲーム・デ・エデュケーション」において角薫教授やチームメイトとともに開発されたものです。

佐々木さんと曲木さんはヴァランス教授と共に論文を発表し、オーストリアのグラーツで開催された「European Conference on Game-based Learning」での「International Game Jam（国際ゲームジャム）」にも参加しました。

ヴァランス教授も「素晴らしい功績」と二人を称えました。

From October 04 to 06, 2017 two Future University students, Tomohiro Sasaki and Takurou Magaki,　accompanied Professor Michael Vallance to participate in the European Conference on Game-based Learning in Graz, Austria.

In the ‘Games in Development’ competition at the prestigious European conference there were 68 game submissions and 16 finalists.

Competitors included undergraduate and post-graduate students from around the world, as well as start-up companies developing games for education.

The FUN students demonstrated their education game, called History Explorer, and they were later rewarded with third prize.

There are Japanese and English versions of History Explorer. The Japanese version was developed in the Game de Education project learning with Professor Kaoru Sumi and team.

The students also presented a full paper with Professor Michael Vallance and participated in an international Game Jam at the European Conference on Game-based Learning in Graz, Austria.

This is a wonderful achievement.　Congratulations.
